"Quiet Revolution" is a project begun in 2018 by 2 Korean-born artists, Ki-Young Kim and gamin, who have been living and working in the US for a number of years. These musicians were provoked by the widespread loss of philosophy, introspection, and spirit in today's arts and music, brought upon by accelerating trends that prioritize materialism and commercialization over meaning. Through experimentation with traditional Korean musical structure and instruments, the artists attempt to break through the artificial boundaries among musical forms, thereby regaining the universality that music can provide as it transcends fixed patterns and time periods.
